Tiger Tiger burning bright, in the forests of night, ,.........could frame. thy fearful symmetry".

CONTEXT,

The poem deals with the issues of god mystic knowledge and the sublime one.The phrase " to love god is to fear him" is talking about something sublime but this kind of thinking is not jut for one thing.this is Blake's philosophy.the poem makes no narrative movement for better or worse. In fact nobody does anything except the questions of the speaker regarding the creation of tiger.EXPLANATION. The poet in these lines is addressing the tiger who is very bright in appearance and shines in the darkness of the forest but whose creater is not visible. The word"tiger" symbolizes man or in the wider sense , whole mankind. His "burning bright" look suggests the goodness of man's soul. The word" night" here stands for ignorance corruption injustices and other evils of synical social set up , where man's individual potentials are eaten and he finds no nature outlet for his individual abilities. this simple words' night" in a precise way expose the cruelty and apathy of church, Orthodox Christianity and elite class.through this image , Blake exposes his hatred for empty rituals and rigidity of social institutions. Blake infact was quite aware of the fact, to quote an English man, " The most henious crimes humanity faced were committed under the guise of religion" so he holds the view that relation b/w god and man needs no middle man like priest .man can directly have an access to god bcz god according to Blake exists in the imagination of man( mysticism) when he imagines lamb god appears to him a meek one but in the image of " tiger" he is fierce. So god inserted both qualities in man,s soul and by identifying them man can creat revolution in the fallacy system .the word" fearful symmetry" reveals this terrific and fierce quality in man.the repetition of" tiger tiger"puts an emphasis on the concerned idea.alliteration of " B" and "F" gives a melodious touch to the poem and enhances the chant like mood of the poet. The use of epithets such as" immortal hand" and " fearful symmetry" is quite in accordance with the idea of the stanza.of style, there is a rhyme schyme of aa bb which gives sonority of sound and enhances the overall lyrical impact of the stanza.
